European Honey Bee

The European honey bee is one of the most well known bee in the world. It is recognized for its role in pollination and honey production. It has distinctive golden brown body with black bands and slightly fuzzy appearance. The European honey bee has been is California since 1853.

Africanized Bee

Africanized honey bees, often referred to as the killer bee. They are a hybrid species of European honey bees and African honey bees. Africanized bees are a way more aggressive bee compared to the regular honey bee. And have spread all over California for decades.

Carpenter Bee

Carpenter bee species is native to California and western United States. These bees are know to nest in wood, trees, and in the ground. Carpenter bees are largest bee species in California measuring about 1 Inch in length and primarily darker in color.
